CEVO Predictions Round 3

I will be taking the 2 matches in each bracket. Next week I will take the one and then if I see a good losers bracket.

Bracket A

It's on my face! > Richard 4 Life - With It's on my faces upset of the week by beating blight.dpv I give the the win on this one. However Richard 4 Life could be another sleeper team waiting to show that they are here for keeps!

Derogate < Blight.nao - The 2nd Blight held up to my predictions and were victorious. I give them the win here over derogate.

Bracket B

Area 51 Gaming > Balls of Strong Steel - Area 51 gaming with FOOL AS A STARTER should have no issue kicking the opponents in the balls.

Immortal 7 > All 4 Dead - Could be a really good match if A4D brings their A game (or if the director chooses sides). I give I7 the win because of their skill in past l4d1, however this is vanilla so you never know.

Bracket C

Hex > Team Minority - HeX with a HUGE upset over my favored Domination, (although it says overturned so I don't know if it was a dispute victory). However I still give them the win.

Impracticable Project < eXcessive Gaming - I give this win to eXcessive Gaming, but It could very well being a close one as Impracticable Project beat out Black Ops Squadron.

Bracket D

v i r (ai) > Stock. - Could be a match of the week, also could be a vanilla upset for v i r. Fortyse7ens dream I feel is going to be cut short by Super Ky and co.

Detox Gaming > Team Pathogen - Detox has some solid people on their roster, and Team Pathogen seems to be just starting, I give Detox the win.

Bracket E

Team Mother Teresa > Not Now Woman - Mother Teresa is my favorite to win this bracket, so I give them an easy win until next week

Team Random Acts of Violence  < Team Shark Week - with a big win over The Avengers, Team Shark Week is looking to make a name for themselves, and I see them getting a chance next week when they play MT2

Bracket F

Vortex > HonorLost - Vortex gets an easy win over a team led by SmokeyMcPot.

Frx. > crUcial Gaming - Frx. Is my favorite to win this bracket, but it will be a great match next week when they play Vortex.

Bracket G

Blight.rage > H20|Omega - Another Blight team keeping true to my predicitons hopefully they won't upset me.

FUBAR < Right 2 Live - Right 2 Live had a big Victory over iono. They are another team trying to make a name for themselves and I feel they can do the same this week over FUBAR

Bracket H

Eximius Sports > Negativ - Eximius Sports is all that needs to be said really

Zer0 Tolerance < SotA: Lithium - This game is a toss up, I have no information on either team, but SotA beat dropouts by a lot so I give them the win.

Scavenge Group Play Predictions

These are predictions of who I think the top two teams in each of the 8 groups.

Group A - Group A seems to be the easiest group on the list with the only known team in there being Area 51, I give them the number one spot, and I give Frag Gaming the number two spot. I also predict this group to have the most FFs. A51 lucks out with this group.

Group B - This group has one big powerhouse name, and a name we all know. I give this group to Blight.dpv with the runners up being All 4 Dead. Expect those two teams to win every match except for when they play eachother, which would lead to a Blight victory. Blight will go undefeated in this group.

Group C - Probaby one of the more difficult groups. With 4 big names like HAUSEN, Excessive gaming, MoB, and Dropouts. This group will be led by HAU- MoB with the return of Madyak and Railz. Second place will be decided by the match between Dropouts and eXcessive gaming.

Group D - A decent group that could have had a lot of potential if mollywhop would have played, and if MoBdeep could fill their roster. I give this group to No Parking with our modders Downtown and Frustian doin work. The runner up in this group will be Blight.rage, but it certainly will be a close match between them and No Parking.

Group E - Eximius Sports should have this group in the bag, but with their lack of activity it could be difficult going up against Blight.Nao. I give Eximius the win though due to their high amount of skill in a lot of different games.

Group F - Another difficult Group with Domination, Black Ops Squadron(still need 4 though), Exodus, and Immortal 7. I give Domination the first place with Immortal 7 being the runner up. Watch out for Exodus trying to spoil I7s fun though!

Group G - This is going to be the most active and difficult group. Detox Gaming, FRx. MT2, v i r (ai), and vVV all in one group. I give MT2 the first place with no challenge, but battle for second will be between v i r and vVv, but don't count out FRx. trying to squeeze in there for the 2nd place. This will be the group to watch.

Group H - This group has Iono, Hostile Faction, and Just 4 Fame. With J4F losing to Stock. last night, I have to give them the first [Hostile Faction] place spot and a very close match between Iono and J4F will determine the second place winner, which I see Iono pulling out some pizzaz and taking the 2nd place spot.

CEVO Round 2 Upper Bracket Prediction

Blight.dpv > It's on my face! - Blight.dpv should still be a powerhouse coming into l4d2 with BlackBelt, and Kral. It's on my face! doesn't ring a bell in my mind so I give it to DPV

Area 51 Gaming > _TheRapists_ - Area 51 with a strong roster of Korn, mata, killatoy, and chris, I don't see them getting raped by the unknown Rapists here!

Domination > Hex - Domination is a new team forming with some big names like Metal, Joshy, Vector, RightClick, and Mayhem, expect this team to make a run for the finals spot, but we have seen teams with HUGE potential get to cocky and not do well in the team portions. Only name I recognize is Static|X from HeX.

Just 4 Fame > Stock. - Could be the match of the week. The only match with known players on the rosters. J4F with Infested, and doC. Then Stock. with the infamous fourtyse7en and Hobo joe. Stock. however seems new and uprising, and J4F has been around for a while thats why I give the win to J4F

Team Mother Teresa > Fatally Reduced Swingers Club - MT² is a new hyped of team with Wuped, Visceral, and ché. Once again though, no names on the other team so MT² gets the win.

Vortex > Hostile Faction - Another good match for early in the tournament. Vortex is a new team with some familiar names like kola, peeps, gothlips, and chew. On the other side we have Aetch Sidewaysbox, and virus. However with kola and peeps being some really good l4d1 players I'm giving this to Vortex.

Blight.rage > Emergency Sex Change - another blight team of the three blights there are, they have a few names out there like wook, and pink floyd, and they are going against some no namers so I give them the win.

Eximius > Layman's Terms - This should be a blowout. I see eximius going to the finals with there rockin roster of Jam, Kaja, Dan, and whoever there 4th starter is, cheesy, or Mike tyson. Either way they have an awesome team brewing and will still be a top 3 team in l4d2.

CEVO Tournament Playoffs - Round 7 Predictions

Round 7 - Bottom Bracket

Depravedvs .Survivor

Even though Depraved had its best player go AWOL for more than a week now, it should be able to beat .Survivor since they have had far more time than their opponent to practice Death Toll.

ThawkTech vs vVv Gaming

Got to love these rematches. vVv barely edged out a win over TT in group play, but can they do it again without their starter? This one might just come down to that finale, and Death Toll is one of the harder ones out there, so lets hope both teams practice getting on that boat.

CEVO Tournament Playoffs - Round 6 Predictions

Round 6 - Bottom Bracket

RageQuit vs .Survivor

A very close match, I think RageQuit will be able to live up to its name (at least partially) and make the other team rage when they .Sur fails to survive. Playing on a very old map, this will come down to who has more experience playing together, and RageQuit has simply been around far longer.

ThawkTech vs FRx.

After barely winning on the last map of the last round against SHL, ThawkTech has a considerably easier match this time. Nevertheless, FRx. will not be a pushover and losing any map on No Mercy might doom their chances of a rematch against vVv.

Be sure to discuss these predictions on our forums: http://commforums.com/cevo-playoffs-rnd5-6-t1335.html?t=1335.
